Things to do in South Kensington this week

Updated Thursday 15 October. 15 listings, checked this morning.

South Kensington has three of London’s big free museums next to each other: the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the V&A, with the Royal Albert Hall just up the road.

Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are a few minutes north, with the Serpentine galleries in the park. There are also talks and lectures at the museums and colleges nearby through the week.

Getting there

A lot of these are near South Kensington, Gloucester Road and High Street Kensington. Every listing shows its nearest station and the walk from it, and the event page works out your journey there and home from any postcode.

A pedestrian tunnel runs from South Kensington station to the museums, which is handy when it’s raining. The station has the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines.

The main stations are South Kensington, Gloucester Road and Knightsbridge.
