London events for under £10

A tenner still goes a long way in London if you pick the right night. Comedy clubs, small gig venues, fringe theatres and independent cinemas all have tickets at £10 or less, and plenty of talks and classes cost even less than that.

Everything here is £10 or under for the cheapest ticket, from the venue’s or ticket site’s own listing, checked this morning. Ticket sites can add a booking fee, so check the final price before you pay.

Getting there

A lot of these are near Bank, Cambridge Heath (London), Homerton, Angel and Brixton. Every listing shows its nearest station and the walk from it, and the event page works out your journey there and home from any postcode.

Pay as you go with contactless or Oyster caps your fares for the day, and off-peak fares are cheaper, which most evening plans fall into anyway.

Buses are a flat fare, and with the Hopper fare you can change buses within an hour without paying again.
