How we pick

Terms of use

The rules for using Tap In London. By using the site you agree to them, so please read them, especially section 4 about the site's code. Last updated 11 October 2026.

1. Who we are

Tap In London (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is a listings website for free and cheap things to do in London, created by Marc Alexander and run by Metric Owl Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17067894). Registered office: Flat 17, St. Michael's Court, St. Leonards Road, London, E14 6PS, United Kingdom.

2. Using the site

You're welcome to use the site to find things to do, save events, plan journeys and share links with friends. It's free and needs no account. You must not use it for anything unlawful, or in any way that harms the site, its visitors, or the venues and organisers it lists.

3. Listings

Listings come from venues' and organisers' own public pages and are checked every day, but details change. Times, prices, availability and entry rules can be wrong or out of date, so always check with the venue or ticket seller before you go. We don't sell tickets, and any booking you make is between you and the venue or seller, on their terms. Journey times come from Transport for London and are a guide only.

4. The site's code

The code that makes up and runs this site, including its HTML, CSS and JavaScript, its scripts and build tools, its data formats, its API and the way they are put together (together, “the code”), belongs to Metric Owl Limited and is protected by copyright. It is confidential and not published for anyone to use. No licence to the code is given to you.

Your browser has to download parts of the code to show you the site. That is the only use you may make of it. Except where the law gives you a right that can't be taken away, you must not, and must not help or allow anyone else to:

These rules apply to people and to automated tools, crawlers and AI agents alike, and to anyone acting for someone else.

5. Content, design and data

The site's design, logo, name, text, selection and arrangement of listings, and its listings database are owned by Metric Owl Limited and protected by copyright and database right. You may not copy, scrape, harvest or extract them, or reuse them in another product, by hand or by automated means, without written permission. Sharing a link to the site or to an event page is always fine. Event names, descriptions and images belong to the venues and organisers they come from.

6. Automated access and AI

You must not use bots, scrapers, crawlers or AI agents to access the site, except search engines indexing its pages in line with our robots.txt. You must not use the site, its content or its code to train, fine-tune or ground any AI model. Our llms.txt says the same to AI tools.

7. Links and ads

The site links to venues, ticket sellers, maps and travel services we don't control, and isn't responsible for their content, prices or terms. Ads are provided by Google, clearly labelled, and never change what's listed or how it's ranked. How we use cookies and data is explained in our Privacy notice.

8. Our responsibility to you

The site is free and provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it accurate and working, but we can't promise it will always be available, error-free or up to date. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its listings, such as a cancelled event, a changed time or price, or a journey that takes longer than shown. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. If these terms are broken

If you break these terms, your right to use the site ends straight away, and we may block your access and take legal action, including to protect our rights in the code, content and data.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after a change means you accept the new terms.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
