King’s Cross has changed a lot in the last twenty years. Behind the stations, the old goods yards are now Granary Square, Coal Drops Yard and the canalside steps on Regent’s Canal, with plenty of free space to sit out.
The British Library is just along Euston Road, and there are concerts, talks and free exhibitions around the area through the week. Everything here is within about a kilometre of the stations.
