About
Moderate 16mile / 25.7km walk led by Capital Walkers Group. Starting at Cow Roast Lock on the Grand Union Canal, the route crosses the canal and heads east through the Ashridge Estate. Woodland tracks and field paths lead us through a landscape of ancient beech woods and rolling farmland. The route crosses Dunstable Downs, one of the highest points in the Chilterns.
