About
Open at all times; the towpath can flood at very high tides. The green stretch of the river in west London, past the boathouses where the Boat Race starts, Barnes, the London Wetland Centre and Chiswick to Kew. The Thames Path National Trail follows the river for 185 miles from its source in the Cotswolds to Woolwich; it is waymarked, mostly flat and easy to reach by public transport.
